Lauren ~~ Traveler's Notebook Promo Kit -- Love Your Style !!

I am absolutely loving this format of documenting memories.

If you are on the fence about starting traveler's notebook then I hope you jump down from the fence and get on the bandwagon. You will be pleasantly suprised!!

Today I drew inspiration from the large frame in the promo kit, and got brave. I cut the photo to fit in the middle with half the frame on either side of the layout (falling off the edges of the pages). Such a fun effect.

Embellishment clusters that included flowers on both frames.

Washi stripes to fill in the blank space on top and bottom where frames were not.

I then got doodle happy with my sharpie.....

Adding a scripting title and scribbley borders around the frames and photos.

I just love the way it ended up even though I had no idea when I started.

Sarah - School Kit - Back 2 School again

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with a second layout using the Scrappng Fun Back to School kit. This time it is capturing my youngest son's first day at kinder.
Even though I had a date stamp disaster with this layout, I thought I'd still press on and share it. The background is an orange piece of cardstock from my stash. The crayon washi tape in this kit is beautiful, so I used this as a border to the left of the page. I layered the photo on some black paper I had in my stash and the alphabet paper that also came in the kit.

The crocheted red apple in this kit is super cool, so I layered this on the apple cut apart in the kit to make it stand out a little more on the page. The ABC enamel piece and cut aparts 'So Grown Up' and 'First Day of" finished off the layout nicely. I added the 'Kinder' alphabet stickers from my stash.
You would have to agree that Raelene has outdone herself with this kit! I still have many more embellishments left over to use for other school / educational related projects. Thanks for joining me and again, if you havent got yout Back to School kit yet, please hurry to do so at Scrapping Fun Kits!

Sarah - School Kit - Back to School

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with a 6x8 scrapbook layout using the amazing Back to School kit. Back to school, or such themed products would have to be one of my favorites! They are so versatile and if you think about how many events we experience with our children throughout the school year, we can use these products at most of those times - first days, school excursions, award ceremonies, photos with friends etc.
For this layout I used an orange piece of cardstock for the base and used the lined paper in the kit to mount my photo on to. The cut aparts and 'back to school' paper frame were perfect for this 3x2 inch photo of my oldest on on his first day back to school this year.

The washi tape in this Back to School kit is adorable - popped some up the top of the layout and the stars diagonally on the bottom right corner. Adhered the flair button and back to school enamel piece and a few star sequins, and it was done. Dont you just love how easy a layout can come together with the right kit! Let's take a closer look at some of the embellishments.
Thanks for joining me for this post and if you havent got your kit yet, click quickly to Scrapping Fun Kits and order it today!

Sarah - February Kit - Brotherly Love

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here again with a second layout using the fabulous February Scrapping Fun embellishment kit. With two layouts down, there is still so many embellishments left in this kit....such great value!
This is a photo of my two boys holding hands one evening as we went for a walk. With any children, it's nice to capture these kind moments to one another when they happen and documenting them for future memories. This is an 8.5X11 inch layout for my family album.

As in my last layout for the February embellishment kit, I created colour in the background using my gelli plate. This time it was a round plate using Brushos. Brushos are a highly pigmented powder water colour that is activated with water. I tapped some Brusho powder on to my gelli plate and activated it with my water brush. I then flipped the plate over and pressed on to the Kaisercraft cardstock. See below for pictures of how this was done. Be sure to dry in betweebn each colour application. The colours I chose were to pick up on the colours in my son's shorts in the photo.
I matted the photo on some crinkled, red tissue paper. The heading is positioned on some washi from the kit and the LOVE is a cut out also from the embellishment kit. The green puffy letter stickers are from D-Lish Scraps.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and will be sure to get all your embellishment needs at the Scrapping Fun website at http://scrappingfunkits.blogspot.com.au

Lisa - February Kit - Great Nan

Hello again, this is my last layout using the February embellishment kit from Scrapping Fun Kits and what a great kit it was. So versatile, I got three, embellishment heavy, 12x12 layouts from the one kit. One for a boy, one a girl and a vintage 12x12 layout all from the one kit, now how versatile is that !!

This is my Great-Grandmother, Emma (Amy) Herne Dudgeon, nee Hannigan. She lived to 99 years of age. This is her 94th Birthday in 1985. I was 12 years old.

I started with a cream/beige colours background and distressed the edges with Vintage shade ink pad from Kaisercraft.

The papers behind the photo are all scraps from my stash, I store them colour coded in A4 Ziplock bags especially for times like this. I have ink distressed all the edges of all the papers & cut aparts.

The Title is made from painted wood veneer lettering for the word "Great" and some very old Heidi Swapp lettering, that was in my stash for "Nan". Great Nan is what we called her 💖

The photo is originally in colour but the colours were quite harsh (Dark Blue's & Orange) so I decided to turn it, Black & White. I printed it on the Canon Selphy and ink distressed the edges as well. I used the top of a small tag from the Kit cut-apart at the top of the photo and embellished it with a small button.

On the left-hand side of the photo, I have used some mulberry paper flowers/leaf I have had in my stash for a while. They were quite bulky so I squished the white ones down and removed the little foam ball from the centre of the pink one.

I have used the gorgeous wood veneer hearts from the kit and added a Vintage button to the centre of the rose where the bulky foam ball was before. I find the buttons go really well with Vintage designs.

To the right of the photo, I have used mostly items from the kit except for the Vintage Button. Charity stores are a great place to find buttons, especially vintage ones.

I laid down the large tag and then embellished it. The wood veneer "Love" word heart fit so well on top of the lace heart. I did darken it a bit with some pink and then vintage ink.

I painted some of the tiny wood veneer hearts brown and added them to the Love Bingo Card, framed by the gorgeous metal rose. Then added some raw Wood veneer hearts along the bottom of the tag.

I hope you enjoyed this layout, it was very special to me.

See you all next month. Take Care !!

Lauren ~~ Back to School Kit - 8.5 x 11 layout #2

When I said previously that once I started creating with the great back to school embellishment kit I couldn't stop.....here is second layout. Another 8.5 x 11 to fit in back of page protector of previous layout.

This time I ripped out a piece of A4 lined paper out of old notebook and used tiny attacher to staple it to the 8.5 x 11 cardstock.

I added the photo straight onto the layout without layers, and set about cutting out some cut a parts from the cut a part sheets included in the embellishment kit.

I added the circle journaling spot and the beautiful crochet red apple to bottom right of the photo. Starting the embellishment cluster strong!

The cut a part banners and the blackboard looking sign helped the embellishment cluster grow and support the photo to the right.

Some amazing blue metal flowers were added to sprinkle the embellishments and texture around the cluster.

To highlight the photo some more I added some scribble lines as a border.

Simple but amazingly brilliant layout that was easily put together with the add  of the back to school embellishment kit.

Thanks for visiting and don't wait any longer to get your scrappy hands on this unique and amazing back to school kit.

Morgyn ~ Travellers Notebook Kit ~ Colour Fun Run

Hi Scrappers, Morgyn here sharing my latest layout using the Summer Travellers Notebook kit (and some of the promo kit Raelene had given me) from Scrapping Fun Kits.

I love how perfect this photo is to use with the Summer kit.  Sam had a colour fun run at his school late last year and this was the after photo.  He was given the pair of yellow sunglasses he is wearing, how wonderful is the sunglass paper and sticker to match?

For the left hand side of the spread I used a paper from my promo kit as the pink matched the splatter on the other side.  I used the blue boarder strip down the middle and a piece of the pink/yellow washi tape.  I mounted my photo on a yellow embellishment piece and used the rainbow letters for my title.

On the right side of the layout I used the sunglasses paper for my background, then I cut out the pink 'summer splash' from an embellishment card.  Together with the sunglasses sticker they made a neat embellishment cluster.  For my journalling spot I trimmed down a journal card and used a green boarder sticker to make another little cluster.

This page came together so quickly and easily (it helps that all the kit pieces coordinate together.
If you would like to find out more about the kits you can find the subscribe page here.

Lauren ~~ Traveler's Notebook Promo Kit -- Spring Landscape photo layout

There are wonderful promo kits that Raelene has been providing the design team in preparation for the release of the Traveler's Notebook Kit in autumn.

I started this layout with a horizontal 4 x 6 photo that depicted how the layout started.

I turned the TN insert sideways and placed the photo on the top half.

Was then so much fun to play with the cards and tags and washi and die cuts to arrange a beautiful spring inspired cluster on the bottom side.

Was then nice to balance the whole layout off with a title and some die cut flowers to top right side of photo and layout.

Enjoy the close ups and the final photo of full layout of the TN insert layout.

Make sure keep eyes peeled for the grand reveal and start of TN kits, starting with Autumn kit. You can subscribe in preparation for the wonderful kits so you wont miss out....

Morgyn ~ Valentines Planner Spread ~ February embellishment kit

Hi Crafty people,

Morgyn here sharing my current travellers notebook planner spread using this months embellishment kit. It was too perfect for Valentines day 💕

Here are a couple of close ups of each page.

I used the wider heart washi tape to mark Valentines day.  I added a little title with my own red hearts too.  I used red and pink pens for my days & dates to match with the fun washi tape.

I trimmed the other washi tape in half lengthways to make a border at the top, then used the skinny washi at the bottom to mark off my meals section.  The gold 'love' paper clip was super perfect to mark my page in the planner (makes it nice and easy to find the week i'm up to).

Have a great scrappy day

Lauren ~~ February Embellishment Kit -- 12x12 "Love"

Morning everyone,

I was so in love (pun intended) with the February embellishment  kit that was hard not to hoard it. Also lately I have not be able to get enough  of the mixed media backgrounds.

So i started off by misting water onto the background and then spraying  every  pink and red spray mist I own hehe. Once it was dried I sprinkled water on to the page and waited few  minutes before drying that with paper towel  - this leaves water resist marks which give depth and look of texture to the misted background.

Now it was time for the fun of making embellishment clusters and layers behind the photo. I chose a lovely photo of my sons with their great grandfather from last christmas and layer some of the paper and the heart gold doily behind it.

I then got to add some washi strips and the beautiful floral covered wood veneer. Also cut a part tag and phrase. Finishing it off with the big pink flower and hearts of the wood veneer and bling variety.

Because the misted background  covered the whole page i added a straight line border and drew some hearts along these  lines to draw eye into the page rather than it floating off.

Thanking you
Lauren

Lauren ~~ Back to School Kit - 8.5 x 11 Layout

I absolutely love this stand alone embellishment kit - amazing for back to school scrapping and once I started I couldn't stop creating !!!!

I started this layout by using old loyalty card to scrape black paint on to the majority of the page.

Whilst I waited for it to dry I got stuck into the layers behind the photo.

I used my paper distresser  to rough up the edges of the lined paper included in the kit. Once that was done I then scrunched the whole page up in my hands to give it wrinkles and more distressed look.

I cut out the lined blackboard card (ripping out the part that will be covered by the photo for later) and attached it to behind the photo with the apple paperclip.

The back to school washi was added to be the title of the layout.

Added more washi in the form of the crayon washi to bottom of the paper layers along with a cut a part word strip for extra embellishment down the bottom of the layout.

I was dying to use the resin peices as soon as I opened the embellishment kit, I placed on down bottom and one to the top of the photo layers.

Finishing off the whole layout with the perfect blue metallic sequins - sprinkling down the layout.

Thanks for visiting the blog, Check out the video for further details.....

Raelene - Summer Moodboard - Sandy Toes

Today I am sharing my layout for the Summer Moodboard.

I used the December Embellishment Kit and some bits from my stash

I started by selecting 2 papers from the December Embellishment Kit and cutting them to fit the the TN pages.
Then I added a border sticker from a upcoming TN Kit to give some extra texture.

Then I added my photo and started embellishing with washi bits from my stash.

I decided to scrap a gorgeous photo of my Mr 11's feet when he was about 2 or 3 years old and we were at the beach.  All electronic storage that the photo was stored on was damaged so I no longer have the dates of the photo and have to guess his age.

I accidentally tore my paper a tiny bit so covered the tear with a flat enamel dot and well I couldn't have just one enamel dot randomly on my layout so I added 5 more on the layout.

I love how the layout turned out, it is very cute and feels very summery even though the photo was taken on a overcast day.

Raelene - School Kit - Teacher Gift

A advantage of creating these kits for you is I get the supplies a little early and when it came to the stand alone School Kit I knew the school book charm was going to be perfect for making a cute keychain for Mr E's teacher in 2017.
I didn't want it to be too chunky as I wanted to be mindful that his teacher may not like chunky keychains but the school book charm has a lovely weight to it that I thought would be great for helping find keys in the bottom of a handbag.

One of the big beads from this broken necklace was the perfect addition to the school book charm to make a simple but cute keychain.

How cute is that book stack?

Sarah - February kit - Cover Page

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here today with the February embellishment kit from Scrapping Fun Kits. Wow, what a fantastic kit this is!
The February embellishment kit is not only great for those 'love' themed pages, but would be fantastic for card making or those off the page projects. For this layout, I have used an 8.5X11 inch page os Kaisercraft cardstock and have created a February cover page for my 2017 family album (yes, I am still working on 2017!).

For the background I used some Jane Davenport Brights collection water colours on my small gelli plate (3X5 inch from Gelli Arts) and stamped this on to the cardstock. See below for how this was done. This was the first time I had used these watercolours and LOVE them! The colours are so vibrant! I printed one colour at a time and allowed it to dry before printing the next one. This ensures that the colours do not mix and turn to a muddy colour.
The photo of my husband and myself was double matted on the gorgeous heart paper provided in the kit. I then added the LOVE bingo cut apart under the photo to the right. The LOVE paperclip was added to the photo....perfect! Lets take a closer look (dont mind the paint I got on one of the heart veneers - I am such a messy creator!). The puffy letter stickers are from D-Lish Scraps.
I hope you enjoyed this layout. Be sure to get your February kit or subscribe so you dont miss out at http://scrappingfunkits.blogspot.com.au/. Until next time....

Sarah- TN Kit - 'Hi'

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with a Travellers Notebook layout for you using the Scrapping Fun TN kit.
For this layout I was inspired by 'Love to Scrap On's Traveler's Notebook monthly challenge, as pictured below.
For the background page of this layout I used the most gorgeous pink floral vellum from the TN kit. The black and white polka dot tag was a lovely contrast to the paler background. This was cut in half (with a little more cut off to add to the top right hand corner) and positioned behind my photo. The chipboard 'Hi' I inked black and added some of the cut out roses for embellishing.
The Autumn TN kit will be released soon - keep your eye on the Facebook page for more information as it gets closer. Alternatively, to get ready for the launch of the TN kits by Scrapping Fun, you can sign up to subscribe by clicking here.

Lisa - February Kit - Baby Brother

Hello again and welcome to my second layout using the February Scrapping Fun Embellishment Kit. If you remember my first layout "Big Sister" was using the same photos in a very similar design.

Because this will be going in my daughters' album I have concentrated on the softer pinks in the kit but have again used the blue patterned papers to compliment the blue in the photos. I have layered the gorgeous gold heart and pink hearts patterned paper from the kit under the photo as well as some blue word paper from my stash. I have not matted the photos in this layout.

When seeing the kit for the first time I saw all the "Love" themed embellishments and when doing this layout I remembered the song "All you need is love" by the Beatles and the line "Love Love Love". I darkened the wood veneer by spraying some Denim Kaisermist over the top.

I used the pink heart washi along the side of the photo and the red hearts to add some interest to that corner of the photos. I have used some Thickers from my stash for the title.

In the top right corner, I have added another little embellishment cluster using all kit items.

The one thing I wish I did in this layout is lifted the main photo display, It ended up a little too low on the page for my liking. Oh well. I don't think it really matters, I always feel the main thing is that the photos are documented.

See you later in the month with my third layout using the February Kit. Which will be quite different with a Vintage twist.

Bye!!
